The knotting methods of intermediate frequency thermal induction furnace lining are wet knotting and dry knotting. Both methods can be used for knotting acid intermediate frequency furnace lining, neutral furnace lining and alkaline furnace lining. 

 

Intermediate frequency furnace wet knotting refers to the knotting of furnace lining knotting material by adding adhesives such as water, sodium silicate and brine. Because the knot material contains certain moisture, so the construction of less dust, good molding. However, there are also a series of disadvantages of wet knotting: the lining material of intermediate frequency furnace knotting is not dense enough, and the refractoriness of lining decreases; The drying time of furnace lining is longer. The insulation performance of inductor decreases when the moisture inside furnace lining is vaporized. Treatment is not good, often lead to the breakdown of the fire between turns, but also may cause a short circuit to the ground, therefore, for the larger melting intermediate frequency furnace should try to avoid the use of wet tying lining.

 

The dry furnace method has been widely used in crucible induction furnace. The dry medium frequency furnace building method without cementing agent can give full play to the fire resistance of lining materials, make the sintering layer of lining thinner, the powder layer thicker, reduce the heat loss of lining, reduce the tendency of lining crack, and improve the safety and reliability of lining.
